To structure Tourism Tech solutions in Bulgaria we apply a number of approaches:
Based on the Stages in the travel & tourism process by Global Travel & Tourism Partnership, we categorise the tech solutions into 8 process stages. To better differentiate among solutions and position them more precisely we have added 4 more stages, and altered some of the rest. For example, we differentiate among solutions for B-2-C booking, Accommodation booking & marketing and Hotel booking, marketing, and operations, as the third one is solely a B-2-B arena. Such an approach gives a much better view on the competitive forces within precise market niches, and differentiate between players in the best possible manner.
All tech solutions are not only categorised in accordance with the tourism process they serve, but also according to the digital technology each applies in order to serve the respective niche, i.e. we answer both the what? niche, and the how? it is served.
We don’t stop here and position all available Bulgarian Tourism Tech solutions also along all possible technologies currently being applied globally in Tourism. Hence, it becomes pretty obvious which are the open niches for import tech solutions in Bulgaria, or for new Bulgarian tech solutions.
